1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using BladeVault ("Platform," "we," "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree, do not use this platform.
2. Platform Role — Not an Escrow Agent
BladeVault is a technology platform that facilitates peer-to-peer knife transactions using smart contract technology on the XRP Ledger (XRPL). BladeVault is not a licensed escrow agent, financial institution, or money services business. Users transact directly with each other; BladeVault provides the technological infrastructure only.
3. Knife Sales & Legal Compliance
You are solely responsible for ensuring that any knife you list, sell, trade, or purchase complies with all applicable local, state, federal, and international laws. This includes but is not limited to blade length restrictions, concealed carry laws, and import/export regulations. BladeVault does not verify the legality of any item listed and assumes no liability for illegal transactions.
4. Platform Fees
BladeVault charges a 5% platform fee on all completed transactions. This fee is deducted automatically upon transaction completion. Fees are non-refundable once a transaction is marked complete.
5. Forge Championship — Discretionary Award
The annual Forge Championship award (representing approximately 5% of platform profits) is a discretionary recognition award at the sole discretion of BladeVault's management. It does not represent any contractual right, equity interest, profit-sharing agreement, or security of any kind. BladeVault reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the award at any time without notice.
6. Trusted Member Program
Paid Trusted Member status is a platform access tier that provides enhanced features. Payment for Trusted Member status does not constitute an investment, equity stake, or profit participation. Membership fees are non-refundable.
7. No Investment Solicitation
Nothing on this platform constitutes an offer to sell, solicitation of an offer to buy, or a recommendation of any security or investment product. Any investor interest forms or discussions are for informational purposes only. No money is solicited or accepted for investment purposes through this platform.
8. Disputes
In the event of a transaction dispute, BladeVault may assist in communication between parties but is not obligated to resolve disputes or release escrowed funds except as directed by both parties or court order. BladeVault's decisions in dispute mediation are final and non-appealable within the platform.
9. Prohibited Conduct
You may not use BladeVault to: (a) sell illegal weapons or items; (b) engage in fraud or misrepresentation; (c) manipulate reviews or competition scores; (d) violate any applicable law or third-party rights.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BladeVault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the platform. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the platform fees paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles.
